Automotive Repair Shop Terms and Conditions

 

Introduction

 

Welcome to Michael A. Smith LLC DBA ONSITE AUTO. Our goal is to provide you with high-quality automotive repair services in a transparent and professional manner. To ensure clarity and mutual understanding, we have outlined the following Terms and Conditions. By engaging with our services, you agree to the terms and conditions specified herein. 1. Service Authorization

 

1.1 Customers must provide written or verbal authorization before any repair work begins.

1.2 For major repairs or services exceeding $500, a signed work order will be required.

1.3 In the event additional repairs are needed beyond the original scope, we will contact you for approval before proceeding.

 

 

2. Estimates and Pricing

 

2.1 All estimates provided are approximations based on initial diagnostics. Actual costs may vary depending on the complexity of the issue.

2.2 Estimates are valid for 30 days from the date issued.

2.3 Pricing is subject to change due to fluctuations in parts availability or additional work required. Customers will be notified of any adjustments.

 

 

3. Payment Terms

 

3.1 Full payment is due immediately following the completion of services unless otherwise agreed upon in writing by management.

3.2 Accepted payment methods include cash, credit/debit cards, and digital payments (e.g., Apple Pay, Google Pay).

3.3 The vehicle and its keys will not be released to the customer until the balance is paid in full, or an alternative payment arrangement has been approved by management.

3.4 Partial payment may be required prior to starting any work to obtain necessary parts, up to but not exceeding 60% of the total invoice.

3.5 A 5% late fee will apply to any unpaid balances after 30 days from the invoice date.

 

 

4. Parts and Warranties

 

4.1 We utilize high-quality Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or equivalent parts for all repairs unless otherwise requested by the customer.

4.2 Parts warranties are subject to the manufacturer’s terms and conditions. Warranty coverage details will be provided upon request.

4.3 Labor warranties are valid for 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first, covering only defects directly associated with the work performed by our technicians.

 

 

5. Vehicle Drop-Off and Pick-Up

 

5.1 Customers are responsible for arranging vehicle drop-off and pick-up.

5.2 Vehicles left on our premises for more than 7 days after service completion may incur a daily storage fee of $25.

5.3 We are not liable for loss or damage to vehicles left on our premises beyond the agreed-upon pick-up timeframe.

 

 

6. Liability and Insurance

 

6.1 While we take all necessary precautions, we are not liable for any damages caused by unforeseen events such as natural disasters, theft, or vandalism while your vehicle is in our care.

6.2 Customers are responsible for ensuring their vehicle is adequately insured before leaving it with us.

 

 

7. Customer Responsibilities

 

7.1 Customers must disclose any known issues with their vehicle prior to service.

7.2 Any modifications or aftermarket parts on the vehicle must be disclosed to avoid complications during repairs.

7.3 It is the customer’s responsibility to remove valuable personal belongings from the vehicle before service. We are not liable for lost or stolen items.

 

 

8. Labor Charges and Issue Resolution

 

8.1 Customers are responsible for paying for labor costs incurred during diagnostic and repair attempts, regardless of whether the initial issue was resolved.

8.2 Labor costs include diagnostic time, attempted repairs, and any additional work authorized by the customer during the service process.

8.3 Refunds for unsatisfactory work will only apply to portions of labor deemed incomplete or defective upon management review.

 

 

9. Cancellation and Refund Policy

 

9.1 Repair orders may be canceled prior to the start of service without penalty.

9.2 Refunds for incomplete or unsatisfactory work will be subject to management review and will only cover the portion of work not completed or deemed unsatisfactory.

9.3 If parts have already been ordered for your vehicle, the cost of those parts may be non-refundable.

 

 

10. Dispute Resolution

 

10.1 Any disputes regarding services rendered must be submitted in writing within 14 days of service completion.

10.2 We will make every effort to resolve disputes amicably. If a resolution cannot be reached, parties agree to settle disputes through mediation or arbitration as per local regulations.

 

 

11. Privacy Policy

 

11.1 We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information.

11.2 Any information collected during the service process will be used solely for the purpose of completing repairs and will not be shared with third parties without your consent.

 

 

Conclusion

 

These Terms and Conditions are designed to foster clear communication and mutual respect between Michael A. Smith LLC DBA ONSITE AUTO and our valued customers. Please note that partial payment may be required prior to beginning work to cover parts, up to a maximum of 60% of the invoice total. Customers are also responsible for labor costs for diagnostics or repairs, even if the initial issue is not resolved. Payment is due immediately upon service completion, and vehicles and keys will not be released until the balance is paid in full or an approved arrangement is made with management.
